How much time ahead do I need to book a Wedding Officiant in Victoria, BC

December, January and February are my busiest months for booking weddings.  Couples are planning and putting the details in order for their upcoming weddings.  I often get asked how long do I need to book ahead for a wedding officiant?  For my coaching couples I encourage having things in order at least 6 months ahead of time.  This allows us time to prepare and connect over the up coming months.  I  usually meet once a month with each couple in preparation for the life ahead.

For straight weddings I also encourage couples to have a few things planned well in advance.  Location of the wedding, the food, photographer and the officiant are very important to plan ahead.  You can not get married without me or someone else licensed by the provincial government.   For saturday weddings you need to plan well in advance.  These days book up quickly.  Most couples are married between 2-3 pm.  These are prime times for us all.  Book early if this is your wedding time.  If you are getting married in an evening or another day of the week you will have much more flexibility.

Planning brings peace of mind to you and your future spouse.  You need to know the time to send out the invitations.  Planning ahead will take a lot of stress off of you.  So call and set it up early.  Do not wait.  You are going to get married and it is easier for us all to plan ahead.

I started performing weddings with some friends of mine in 1995.  Last year I was close to 20 weddings just in the summer months.  I am starting to get a feel for what couples are looking for in a wedding officiant.
